Post-Secondary Education
Ministers of education and training collaborate on strategic post-secondary education and training issues in order to support and enhance Atlantic Canada’s prosperity. Inter-provincial collaboration is focusing on research and special initiatives to enhance the post-secondary system.
As a result of their successful meetings with the Atlantic federal caucuses in Ottawa in February 2005, departments of education and training developed proposals to identify specific Atlantic Canada needs in the areas of post-secondary education: infrastructure and maintenance, research and development, adult literacy and skills development. These proposals served as part of the Atlantic submissions in the national process to engage the federal government in post-secondary education.
